Jessica-Snow Wilson will star in Wasps in Bed, a new romantic comedy directed by Lisa Marie Meller.  The show will play a six-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Performances begin Tuesday, September 5 and continue through Sunday, October 15. Opening Night is Thursday, September 7 (8 p.m.).

"A provocative comedy about the perpetual pursuit of life, love and happiness, Wasps in Bed is the result of many years and many writers' work, including that of Emmy Award-nominee Richard Willis Jr., Kieron Quirke and Paul Murray, with the most recent and significant writing done by Nicola Behrman. Wasps in Bed is an original story by Raja Ogirala and Richard Willis Jr.," as the show is described in press notes.  Wasps in Bed will be presented by Om Productions.

"Meet Betsey, Bobby and Cal – best friends from college, who haven't been in the same room since their graduation 10 years ago. But now, Bobby's getting married, Betsey's hosting the celebration at her cabin in the Berkshires and Cal is the best man.  With Bobby on the verge of becoming a husband, Betsey married with two kids, and Cal vehemently opposed to the institution of marriage, the fireworks are unforgettable when these three friends reunite over one July 4th weekend."

The production stars David Alan Basche (Snakebit) as Allan, Kelly Deadmon as Betsey, Rick Gifford as Bobby, Alysia Reiner (Anais Nin – One of Her Lives) as Raina, Richard Short as Cal and Wilson as Reese.

Wilson originated the role of Marcella in Broadway's Good Vibrations and prior to that, starred as Audrey opposite Joey Fatone in the revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Her other Broadway credits include Les Misérables and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Earlier this year, she appeared in the Off-Broadway musical Bingo.

The production will feature scenic design by Dustin O'Neill, costume design by Deanna Berg, and lighting design by Graham Kindred (Picon Pie). Andrew Eisele is the sound engineer.

The show will play the following regular schedule through Sunday, October 15: Mondays at 8 p.m., Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m.  There is an added 8 p.m. preview performance on Tuesday, September 5.

Tickets are $15-50 and are now available online at www.TicketCentral.com or by calling 212-279-4200. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the Theatre Row Box Office, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
