The Laurie Beechman Theatre will welcome celebrated jazz artist Jon Weber to its stage for one special performance only on Sunday, November 26 at 4pm.

"Continuing our series of brunch-time performances, Mr. Weber will present a show called Serendipity: Every work of art was once a work in progress. Mr. Weber will play classic tunes from the jazz age and the era of MGM musicals, all of which have had multiple titles, sets of lyrics and re-births," state press materials.

"As a teenager, composer/pianist Jon Weber's prodigious quintet opened up for jazz luminaries Pat Metheny, Freddie Hubbard and Buddy Rich. Jon newest CD, Simple Complex, was voted 2004's #1 Jazz CD by the Chicago Tribune, Swiss National Radio, Norwegian Radio, Estonian National Radio and BBC Online.  Jon has toured all over the world and received numerous honors for performance and composition. The following artists have recorded his music: Gary Burton, Roy Hargrove, Eric Alexander, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen and Avishai Cohen. He's recorded in Denmark, Switzerland, India, Australia and the USA, performing with distinction as a sideman to David "Fathead" Newman, Benny Golson, Clark Terry and many others. Jon has performed to a sold-out Carnegie Hall four times and has scored extensively for television since 1987."

A special $45 ticket is available for a three-course brunch as well as the show. Show-only tickets are available for $20, plus a $15 food/beverage minimum. For reservations, which are strongly recommended, please call 212.695.6909. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd St. (at Ninth Avenue). All major credit cards are accepted.
