Williamstown Theatre Festival begins rehearsals today for the final Main Stage production of the 2016 Season, this summer's production of Wendy Wasserstein's An American Daughter.

Jason Danieley joins the cast in the role of "Timber Tucker" replacing the previously announced Darren Pettie, who can be seen in The Rose Tattoo through July 17. Danieley returns to Williamstown after appearing as "Frederich Kuhn" in the 2014 production of Terrence McNally and Kander & Ebb's The Visit alongside Chita Rivera and the late Roger Rees.

Evan Cabnet directs Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Wendy Wasserstein's prescient 1997 play about the cost one woman pays when she dares to have it all, with a complete cast that includes Kerry Bishe, Jason Danieley, Diane Davis, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Roe Hartrampf, Stephen Kunken, Carson Meyer, Richard Poe, Will Pullen, and Deborah Rush.

When the President of the United States nominates Dr. Lyssa Dent Hughes (Diane Davis) to the position of Surgeon General, the excavation of her past triggers a scandal that threatens her confirmation. As partisan politics play out, Lyssa's deep personal relationships and impressive career trajectory hang in the balance.

An American Daughter plays on the Williamstown Theatre Festival Main Stage August 3 - 21, 2016.
