The Fur-Gotten Tale of Nathan Greenbaum, a new one-man musical comedy written and performed by Jared Goldsmith, will play SoHo Playhouse as part of the theatre's Lighthouse Series. Performance will take place on May 7 at 9 PM, May 8 at 9 PM, and May 9 at 3 PM.

Nathan Greenbaum was supposed to be a star. In 2005, he landed the lead on a new sitcom, Larry & the Lion — until a sudden accident took him out of the spotlight. When he finally returned, the show had become a massive hit… without him.

But tonight, disguised in a lion mascot suit, Nathan crashes the show's 20th anniversary reunion to tell his side of the story.

What begins as revenge spirals into a hilarious and unhinged journey through ego, identity, and showbiz. Featuring an original score and rapid-fire characters, The Fur-Gotten Tale of Nathan Greenbaum is a revenge musical about fame, failure, and the desperate need to be remembered.

Goldsmith previously appeared in the Broadway production of Dear Evan Hansen and has built an audience of over 1 million followers across digital platforms through his original musical comedy content. Earlier this year, he premiered his original musical comedy concert It's a Nerd, It's a Bird, It's Jared! at Chelsea Table + Stage in New York City. Creative consultation by Jack Saleeby.
