Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, the musical hit now playing at The Zipper Theatre (336 West 37th Street), has announced a series of Sunday evening post-performance talk-backs to begin this Sunday, November 12, 2006.

"These talkbacks will offer a forum to begin a progressive discussion on the political relevance of Brel and his music.  In honor of Veteran's Day, Mr. Sibley J. Smith, Director of Education of the Vietnam Era Education Center at the New Jersey Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, will be on hand to take part in this Sunday's discussion which will focus on the songs and their relevance to war. Moderated by the show¹s producer, Dan Whitten, the cast will also be on hand to offer their thoughts and opinions," as press notes state.

Producer Whitten says, "Brel's songs are as relevant today as they were in 1968.   These talk backs, a result of comments made by audience members, will serve as a catalyst for discussion and debate in this time of war and social challenge."

In honor of the year that Jacques Brel first opened at the Village Gate Theatre, all tickets for the Sunday evening performances (except November 26th) are $19.68.  Tickets may be obtained through TeleCharge (212) 239-6200, www.telecharge.com or by visiting the Zipper Theatre box office (336 West 37th Street).
