6@6 at Yamaha Solo Piano Series presents Inna Faliks in concert on Wednesday, April 12 @ 6:00 PM, as the third program of their 2017 performance series, curated by Mirian Conti, at Yamaha Artists Piano Salon, 689 Fifth Avenue (entrance on 54th street), 3rd floor in Manhattan.

Repertoire will be Schubert's Wanderer Fantasie, Tchaikovsky (from The Seasons) November, June, February, Takemitsu's Raintree Sketch, Freidlin's Ballade in Black and White (composed for Inna Faliks, premiered in 2011 in Carnegie Hall) and Liszt's Mephisto Waltz #1.

Inna Faliks recently relocated from NYC to Los Angeles, after being named the new Head of Piano and Associate Professor of Piano at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. After her acclaimed debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, she has performed on many of the world's great stages, with numerous orchestras, in solo appearances, and with conductors such as Leonard Slatkin and Keith Lockhart. Critics praise her "signature blend of lithe grace and raw power" (Lucid Culture), "courage to take risks, expressive intensity and technical perfection" (General Anzeiger, Bonn), "poetry and panoramic vision" (Washington Post), and "riveting passion, playfulness" (Baltimore Sun). Her discography includes a recent all- Beethoven release, "Sound of Verse - music of Boris Pasternak, Ravel, and Rachmaninoff" - both on MSR Classics, and a Disklavier recital recording for Yamaha. 6 @ 6 at Yamaha, a solo piano performance series in its third season, curated by internationally renowned pianist Mirian Conti, has announced dates and performers for Spring 2017 at Yamaha Artists Piano Salon, on the 3rd floor of 689 Fifth Avenue (entrance on 54th street), in New York, New York. The series was formerly known as 5 @ 5 at DiMenna.

These recital programs will feature world-class international pianists exploring an array of solo piano works from the last 400 years. Other Spring 2017 dates and performers are:

Argentine/American pianist, Yamaha artist, and series curator Mirian Conti, based in New York City, is a musician whose performances combine technical brilliance with striking originality and artistic insight. Stylistically assured in a wide range of repertoire, Ms. Conti's prolific recording output and international concerts have garnered praise and awards. In recognition of her extraordinary talent, a scholarship honoring Mirian Conti was established at The Juilliard School by the Edwin Bachman Estate. In addition, she was selected as one of the "100 Outstanding Alumni" to celebrate The Juilliard School's Centennial in 2005-6.

Her latest CD, Children's World, recorded at Yamaha Salon in NYC, has been released recently on the Albany label (Troy 1642). The Steinway & Sons label has released her recordings of the complete Chopin Mazurkas (CD 3003), Nostalgias Argentinas (CD 30010) and Panorama Argentino (CD 30023).
