Injured Service Members of Team Semper Fi Take Part in 'Tunnel to Towers' Run, 9/25

The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (www.semperfifund.org) will be sending 36 team members from Team Semper Fi, to take part in the "Tunnel to Towers" race in Brooklyn. This is the third year the team has participated in the race.

The Tunnel to Towers Run (http://www.tunneltotowersrun.org/) is organized by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The run memorializes all who perished on September 11, 2001 and follows the heroic footsteps of firefighter Stephen Siller, who raced on foot from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Towers and laid down his for others.

Team Semper Fi (TSF) (http://semperfifund.org/team-semper-fi/) is an athletic sports team made up of more than 270 injured service members who compete in athletic events across the country. With their motto "Recovery Through Sport" Team Semper Fi is a rehabilitative sports program offered by the Semper Fi Fund. The team is made up of servicemen and women who have overcome significant challenges and refused to let their injuries prevent them from competing in athletic events.
