Boston's best writers and performers come together to present a holiday show that unwraps the funny. The ImprovBoston Holiday Spectacular returns for a month and a half of no-holds-barred holiday humor that lays to rest the tired seasonal entertainment of the past. Cutting-edge home grown comedy, an originally composed musical score and full-blown seasonal satire combine for an unforgettable holiday event.

This year's ImprovBoston Holiday Spectacular looks to answer all the big seasonal questions, like what happens after the pumpkin spice is all gone? Who invited your weird uncle? And what if God dropped by the theater for a visit? Part written revue, part audience-interactive improvisation, and all hilarious, the Spectacular spreads enough cheer to get us all through another Boston winter.

Allen McRae (co-creator of Comedy, America! and producer of the Best of Boston Sketch revue) directs this year's original comedy revue. Allen shares, "I am thrilled to be heading up ImprovBoston's Holiday Spectacular. Not only is this traditionally one of the biggest shows at ImprovBoston, but I think we have crafted a truly original take on the richest season of the comedy year."

The ImprovBoston Holiday Spectacular runs Fridays at 10pm from November 28 to December 26 with additional Saturday performances on December 20 & 27. Tickets are $18, $14 students at the door and available online at improvboston.com.

Assistant director and head writer: Jamie Loftus. Improv director: John Serpico. Lead producer: Kevin Quigley. Technical director: Scott Istvan. Original score by Steve Sarro.
