Tonight, May 4, IDEAS CITY NightFest will transform a Bowery neighborhood with skating on Mulberry Street, installations of glowing balloons, participatory video games, teen poetry readings and more. It all takes place from 6 PM-12 AM; rain or shine, open to the public.

The Old School at 233 Mott StreetNew York's oldest parochial school opens its classrooms to host exhibitions under the theme "Wish Meme," exploring ideas of wish fulfillment, in addition to artwork projections of schools of fish by artist Anita Glesta.

Bowery between East Houston and Grand StreetsCheck out murals on the metal roller shutters of stores along the Bowery by fifteen artists, organized by the Art Production Fund and New Museum.IDEAS CITY explores the future of cities around the globe with the belief that arts and culture are essential to the vitality of urban centers, making them better places to live, work, and play. Founded by the New Museum in 2011, the Festival is a major collaborative initiative between hundreds of arts, education, and civic organizations. This year's theme is Untapped Capital, with participants focused on resources that are under-recognized or underutilized in our cities.
