Hetrick-Martin Institute Sets Winter Date for 2016 Emery Awards

Hetrick-Martin Institute hosts its flagship annual event, the 2016 Emery Awards. This year's theme is "Help Me Imagine."

HMI, a leader in direct services and advocacy for LGBTQ youth, encourages the community to imagine a world where all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, can achieve their full potential. The event boasts 1100 + guests, including influencers from the world of finance, fashion, theatre, beauty and more.

Past honorees include Michael Bloomberg, Chelsea Clinton, Arianna Huffington, Ryan Murphy, Cory Booker, Harvey Milk High School co-founder Dr. Joyce Hunter, Mary-Louise Parker, researcher Jeffrey Ravetch, Andy Cohen, Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl's USA, 2014-2015 Broadway Production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and the M.A.C. AIDS Fund.

The awards will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m. EST at Cipriani, 55 Wall Street, New York City. For more information, visit www.hmi.org/emery2016.

The Hetrick-Martin Institute believes all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential. Hetrick-Martin creates this environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth between the ages of 13 and 24 and their families.
