Jessica Hecht, Larry Keith and more will take part in a Monday, July 10th reading of Enid Rudd's The Other Side of Newark.  The 3 PM reading will take place at the Manhattan Theatre Club's Creative Center (311 West 43rd Street).

In addition to Hecht (The House in Town, Julius Caesar) and Keith (Caroline, or Change, Cabaret), the reading will feature Neal Huff (The Little Dog Laughed, Take Me Out), Dana Jones and Myra Lucretia Taylor (Nine, Macbeth).

Pamela Berlin will direct the reading, which centers on a white teacher's (played by Hecht) relationship with her African-American student (Jones) in the 1930s. Rudd has penned plays such as Does Anybody Here Do the Peabody? and The Ashes of Mrs. Reasoner.
