Hamish Linklater, Johanna Day, Michael Zegen and More Set for Cape Cod Theatre Project's 20th Season

Artistic Director Hal Brooks has announced that the 20th Season of the Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring staged readings of new work by Cory Hinkle, Hamish Linklater, Seth Moore and the Lobbyists, and Alena Smith is now cast. Obie Winner and Tony Nominee Johanna Day will be joined by Girls star Michael Zegen and others.

These playwrights and actors will be joined in Falmouth, Massachusetts by writers-in-residence Sarah Burgess, Mona Mansour and Stella Fawn Ragsdale.

Hamish Linklater (The Vandal, currently starring in Free Shakespeare in the Park's Much Ado About Nothing), arrives with his play Just Lean Out Your Window and Shout, to be directed by CCTP Artistic Director Hal Brooks. Performances are on July 10, 11 and 12. Obie Winner Johanna Day will be joined by Justin Hagan and Liam Craig (The Killer).

McKnight Fellow Cory Hinkle will develop The End of Beauty, directed by Michael Donahue (Red-handed Otter). Stage readings for The End of Beauty are on July 3, 4 and 5 and features Quentin Mare (Yale Rep's Happy Now?), Danielle Slavick (A Bright New Boise) and Daniel Abeles (NBC's Smash).

Folk Rock group The Lobbyists present their seafaring musical SeaWife, by The Lobbyists and Seth Moore, directed by Naked Angels Artistic Director Liz Carlson. SeaWife performs on July 17, 18 and 19. The Lobbyists are Tommy Crawford, Will Turner, Eloise Eonnet, Alex Grubbs, Douglas Waterbury-Tieman & Tony Vo.

Alena Smith (author of Tween Hobo, and a writer for HBO's The Newsroom) will develop The New Sincerity directed by Stella Powell-Jones (17 Orchard Point). The New Sincerity performs on July 24, 25 and 26 and features HBO's Girls star Michael Zegen, Elvy Yost, Clare Barron and Damon Daunno.

The 2014 writers-in-residence are Sarah Burgess, Mona Mansour and Stella Fawn Ragsdale. Previous Writers in Residence include Sharr White, Halley Feiffer, Academy Award© Nominee Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Jackie Sibblies Drury (We Are Proud to Present a Presentation..., Soho Rep).

For the past 19 years, The Cape Cod Theatre Project has brought top theater artists together to present staged readings to help develop the best new American plays and playwrights in the country.
