Graae's Anatomy to Play West Coast Premiere in May

"Graae's Anatomy," starring actor, singer, and comedian Jason Graae, will enjoys its West Coast premiere with four performances at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood.  These performances will coincide with Graae's appearance in The Merry Widow at the L.A. Opera. The show features musical direction by Alex Rybek and is directed by Heather Lee.

"Graae's Anatomy" will run for four performances only; Monday, May 14 at 8pm; Tuesday, May 15 at 8pm; Monday, May 21 at 8pm and Tuesday, May 22 at 8pm at the El Portal Theatre (5269 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood).

Press notes state, "'Graae's Anatomy' finds the inimitable Jason Graae singing from the heart, breathing through his nose, touching some tender nerves and tickling many funny bones. It also includes Jason's somewhat twisted and sometimes even humorous take on songs by John Bucchino, Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Johnny Mercer and more!"

Jason Graae won the 2006 New York Nightlife Award and the Bistro Award for Best Major Engagement for his solo show, Coup de Graae! His Broadway credits include A Grand Night For Singing, Falsettos, and Stardust, and he has also appeared in TV shows such as "Six Feet Under," "Rude Awakening," "Friends," and "Frasier," and in movies such as Disney's Home on the Range and On Edge.

The show features musical direction by Alex Rybek and is directed by Heather Lee. The creative team includes Stafford Floyd (sound engineering) and Jeremy Ordaz (lighting design). The show is produced by Pegge Forrest and Jay Irwin for Weddington Street Productions.
