Kids of all ages will get a chance to witness first hand the amazing stories of Gilbert & Sullivan when America's foremost G & S repertory ensemble, the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, continues its G&S Fest 2008, which will feature fully-staged productions of H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado and The Gondoliers (June 6-15th) on the great stage of New York's historic City Center (West 55th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues). Hosted by Artistic Director Albert Bergeret, families will enjoy the popular Family Overture series of entertaining and informative pre-show musical introductions and narrative summaries.

The interactive and fun-filled presentations are offered on June 7th at 12:45 for The Pirates of Penzance; June 8th at 1:45 for H.M.S. Pinafore; June 14th at 12:45 for The Mikado and June 15th at 1:45 for The Gondoliers. Your matinee admission is your ticket to Family Overture!
With the help of an onstage pianist, Mr. Bergeret creates a kid friendly 45 minute session which incorporates history, story plots and musical appreciation! Tickets to weekend performances, June 6th through the 15th, range in price from $96 to $40. (Children 12 or under: half price when accompanied by an adult, 10% senior discount on $80, $60 and $40 seats).
