Taina Elg and an all-star cast read Garbo's Last Walk, the new play by Kristof Bathory, at the National Arts Club, January 25, Friday at 8PM. Directed by Susan Einhorn, Kathleen Chalfant and Lisa Harrow, the experience is two dueling Garbo's, unveiling the mystery of Hollywood's greatest, most mysterious, screen star.

Garbo's Last Walk
also stars Young Frankenstein's Heather Ayers as Marlene Dietrich, David Little as Louis B. Mayer, Stephen Rowe as Mauaritz Stiller, and Diane Ciesla as both John Gilbert and Garbo's lover, Mercedes De Acosta. Kathleen Chalfant, in her greatest role since her award-winning Wit, stars as the great Garbo.

Press notes state: "In 1942, Greta Garbo left Hollywood forever and never looked back. She hid herself away in an apartment building in New York City. Now, 47 years later, ailing and 84, the former "Love Goddess" puts on her hat and sunglasses and goes for a walk for the very last time...but not to a place on any map...."

The National Arts Club is located at 15 Gramercy Park South, New York NY, 10003. More information and tickets are available at www.nationalartsclub.org
