Gallagher Jr. Returns to Teach Master Class at Broadway Artists Alliance

Tony Award-winner John Gallagher Jr. returns to Broadway Artists Alliace to lead a Spring Awakening­-themed Master Class on Monday, January 21, 2008.

Broadway Artists Alliance is the dynamic not-for-profit educational organization that is quickly gaining a reputation for ensuring the future of great Broadway talent by bringing together Broadway artists and promising young performers. They continue their 2008 one-day master class series with popular guest John Gallagher Jr. and a representative from Jim Carnahan Casting.

Gallagher Jr. returns to Broadway Artists Alliance, having appeared as a special guest speaker during their 2007 Summer Intensive.Continuing to mentor the future of Broadway, Gallagher will participate in a Q&A as well as lead a master class in "Song Interpretation" for a group of lucky and talented young performers, ages 10-21.

Participants will also gain the benefit of audition training and feedback from a representative of Jim Carnahan Casting, in a master class that focuses on "The Contemporary Musical Theatre Audition". This Spring Awakening-themed master class first premiered on October 8, 2007 (with guest instructor Lea Michele), and will be reprised due to popular demand.

Gallagher completed his award-winning run as Moritz in the Broadway hit Spring Awakening on December 16, 2007.He can currently be seen playing with his band Old Springs Pike in NYC and across the country (www.oldspringspike.com).

The 2008 series begins with Spring Awakening as well as a Wicked-themed master class scheduled for Saturday, January 19 (guest instructors TBA shortly). Additional 2008 upcoming classes feature special guest instructors from Broadway's Hairspray, Young Frankenstein, The Little Mermaid and Spamalot.

Space is extremely limited for the upcoming Spring Awakening master class, which will take place on Monday, January 21 from 10AM-5:30PM. All master classes are open to returning and new students ages 10-21.
