Rolex presents JUMP FOR JOY! A Dance Variety Spectacular - Career Transition For Dancers' 27th Anniversary Jubilee on Monday, November 5, at 7:00 pm at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6th & 7th Aves) NYC. Legendary star Angela Lansbury will host. There are now some Gala Patron Orchestra and Grand Tier seats available for sale. These wonderful tickets are available at the box office and on line for the dance event of the new season. 

The show will be followed by a Supper in The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York. America loves variety, and JUMP FOR JOY! provides a fun-filled evening that weaves together all genres and dance styles in an exciting tapestry of quality entertainment.

The spectacular show will open with an original song by Lloyd G. Miller that will feature a large group of dancers headed by Nate Cooper (guest artist Cirque du Soleil). American Dance Machine For The 21st Century with singer Orfeh will perform a number from "Jerome Robbins Broadway". The Suzanne Farrell Ballet will perform "Meditation" by George Balanchine. Therw will also be special appearances and performances by, and artists from: Arthur Murray Dancers, Big Apple Circus, Dancing Classrooms, EveryDayMan Adventures, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Hybrid Movement Company, New York City Ballet, Jason Samuels Smith, Tigerpalast Varieté Theater Frankfurt, and Chita Rivera. The entertainment event of the new season is produced and directed by Ann Marie DeAngelo.

The Rolex Dance Award will be presented to Liza Minnelli, winner of four Tony Awards, an Oscar, a special "Legends" Grammy, two Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy. The Career Transition For Dancers Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance Awards will be awarded to: Joni Berry, Michele Herbert, Gerald M. Appelstein, and Arthur Murray International (celebrating its 100th Anniversary).

Career Transition For Dancers, with offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, has helped over 5,600 professional dancers nationwide identify their unique talents in preparation for establishing new careers when dance is no longer an option. Since its founding in 1985, the organization has provided more than 55,000 hours (equivalent to over $6 million) of one-on-one career counseling and program services at no cost, and has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships for education, entrepreneurial grants, and certification programs. The organization also provides dancers with specialized services that include transition seminars and workshops, peer support groups, resource centers, a toll-free national career counseling hotline, and an online National Career Network.

The 27th Anniversary Chairs are Anka K. Palitz, and Susan & Stewart Wicht. Patron tickets are $600, $750 and $1,200 each. Tables for 10 start at $7,500.
