GODSPELL's George Salazar Joins Royanth Productions' MISSED CONNECTIONS Tonight, 10/1

By:

George Salazar, having completed a critically acclaimed run in Godspell at the Circle in the Square Theater, will be joining The cast of Missed Connections for their opening night performance at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at 9:30pm tonight, October 1.

George had begun working with a group of fellow University of Florida alumni to develop a show revolving around postings from the infamous craigslist section, when he responded to a “higher calling” to join the Godspell cast. He is excited to re-join the Missed Connections cast for this performance.

After a “hung-over” run at this February’s FRIGID NY festival, the timely comedy show Missed Connections: An Exploration into the Online Postings of Desperate Romantics will begin a series of monthly performances at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, located inside the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St at 9th Ave. Each show will feature a different guest performer.

The up-and-coming Royanth Productions (associate producer of NYMF’s award-winning Central Avenue Breakdown) brings audiences a core cast of four talented comedians. Using real postings from the infamous craigslist section, the group will dive headfirst into dozens of unique characters. With a variety of locations, intentions and grammar, Missed Connections is a show of endless hilarity. Previous performances were staged at The Kraine Theater, The Producers Club, The Magnet Theater and The Brooklyn Lyceum (for the New York Times recognized UglyRhino).

The show is performed by Jennifer Jean Anderson*, Ricky Dunlop*, Jake McKenna and Lauren Roth. All tickets are $15, with a $15 food/beverage minimum and are available at SmartTix.com or by calling the Laurie Beechman Theater at 212-695-6909.

MISSED CONNECTIONS: AN EXPLORATION INTO THE ONLINE POSTINGS OF DESPERATE ROMANTICS is co-created by *Ricky Dunlop, *Jennifer Jean Anderson, Lauren Roth and Jake McKenna.

2012 Show Schedule:
