Arts and Artists at St. Paul's will continue their Songbook Series on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 6 PM, this time featuring composer/lyricist Nick Blaemire.

Nick Blaemire is a performer and songwriter living in New York City. His first full-length musical, Glory Days, which he began working on with his friend James when they were 18, had a critically-acclaimed run at the prestigious Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia (under the direction of Eric Schaeffer), and then moved to the Circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway in the spring of 2008.

It also closed in one day -- but it was still very fun and he wouldn't trade it for anything. The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Glory Days is available through Sh-K-Boom Records, and it is available for licensing through Playscripts. It's huge in Japan. He is currently at work on a new original musical, FINDING ROBERT HUTCHENS, with bookwriter Paul Downs Colaizzo, which was commissioned by Broadway Across America.

The performance will take place at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Manhattan.111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street. Admission is free.

The cast will include Molly Hager ("Young Hearts Unlimited"), David Hull (Calvin Berger, WICKED, A CHORUS LINE), Preston Sadleir (GIVE IT UP, MRS. SHARP), and Phoebe Strole (SPRING AWAKENING, "Hamlet 2").

Music direction for the performance will be by Jesse Vargas, with Daniel Goldstein directing. The event will be produced by Erica Ruff and hosted by John Znidarsic.
