Free Performances of THE NUTCRACKER and More Announced at Brookfield Place

Arts Brookfield presents a remarkable fall and holiday season packed with free, festive programming. There is a little something for everyone with activities ranging from the not-to-be missed Luminaries installation to breathtaking performances of The Nutcracker by the New York Theatre Ballet. Visitors are invited to to enjoy holiday shopping at Brookfield Place's Holiday Bazaar, create photo memories with Santa, ice-skate along the Hudson River, and observe magnificent ice sculptures by Okamoto Studios at the Grace-ful Ice exhibition.

Luminaries, Arts Brookfield's popular interactive light installation, returns to the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place in collaboration with the award-winning design and innovation studio, The LAB at Rockwell Group. A canopy made from over 600 suspended lanterns will illuminate the Winter Garden from November 30 to January 5, inspired by the season's traditions of sharing, giving, community, and light. A special community event, Light Up Luminaries, will kick off the Luminaries festival on November 28.

Open for another memorable season, The Rink at Brookfield Place is located on the waterfront between the North Cove Marina andthe iconic Winter Garden. Light Up Luminaries

A free community event, Light Up Luminaries kicks off the holidayseason at Brookfield Place and begins Luminaries, the spectacular annual light installation. Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy free performances, sweet treats, and ice skating along the waterfront.

Arts Brookfield has reimagined its annual holiday festival for Brookfield Place in collaboration with the award-winning design firm, The LAB at Rockwell Group. This holiday tradition in the heart of Lower Manhattan features a canopy of light emanating from hundreds of suspended lanterns. Three Wishing Stations located on the ground will allow visitors to "send" a wish to the canopy of lanterns above, translating the wish into a mesmerizing display of lights and colors. For every wish sent by the public during the holiday season, Brookfield will donate $1, up to $25,000, to the GRAMMY Museum and its music education programs.

This free, one-hour version of the beloved holiday ballet is performed to Tchaikovsky's cherished score and set in an Art Nouveau-style circa 1907. The mesmerizing choreography is by long-time New York Theatre Ballet choreographer, Keith Michael. A fantastic family activity, these three performances in the Winter Garden present one of New York City's only free opportunities to enjoy the holiday favorite. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as seating for these popular performances is first come, first served.
