Prolific composer Frank Wildhorn and musical director Jeremy Roberts have launched GlobalVision Records, billed as "a new record label dedicated to releasing contemporary theatrical recordings."

The new label is currently in the process of producing a number of new albums. They are recording a new
Jekyll & Hyde concept recording, based on the show's concert tour. Now circling the country through May 2006, it stars Rob Evan in the title role(s), Kate Shindle as Lucy and Brandi Burkhardt as Emma.

The team has also commenced pre-production for the concept recording of Cyrano de Bergerac. The new musical, based on the classic Edmond Rostand romance, will premiere in London next year. It will feature music by Wildhorn and a book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse; the two previously collaborated on Jekyll & Hyde.

"Full cast details will be provided as soon as we are allowed to make the announcement," according to notes on the website.

Wildhorn's Waiting for the Moon, based on the marriage of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, premiered at the Lenape Regional Performing Arts Center in New Jersey in July. In addition to Jekyll & Hyde, Wildhorn's Broadway credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War and Dracula: The Musical. A pop composer who has written many hits (such as Whitney Houston's chart-topper "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?"), he has also penned songs for Linda Eder's various albums. Havana and Vienna are some of the prolific composer's other musical projects.
