Fox Considers Original Jukebox Musical For Next Live Event

All eyes are on Fox as the world gears up for the premiere of Rent, the network's latest live musical broadcast, tonight.

According to BroadcastingCable.com, the network is considering an original jukebox musical for its next endeavor.

Fox entertainment president, Michael Thorn, said the network will be "incredibly selective" about any future live musical events. He said that they have been in talks with a couple of artists about potentially creating a live musical featuring their song library. However, he would not share which artists Fox is speaking to.

The project could allow Fox to, "create our own IP and have some ownership," said Thorn.
