Folk Music Society of NY Hosts Music Party/Ice Cream Social, 3/25

The Folk Music Society of New York, Inc. is happy to announce a Musical Party and Ice Cream Social to celebrate the development of a songbook by members of the Folk Music Society and the Renaissance Charter School. The party starts at 7:00PM with performances by the singers/musicians whose work is in the book and sample CD: Suzanne Arnold, Joy Bennett, Everett Boyd, Jerry Epstein, Alan Friend, Rebekah Oakes, Anne Price, Rebekah Slotnick, Steve Suffet, and Heather Wood. Look for some other surprises, including students from the school, Bob Malenky, and Professor Louie.

Admission of $5 includes ice cream and toppings plus excellent music from 7:00 until 10:00. At 6:00 it will also be possible to purchase dinner prepared by seniors from the Renaissance Charter School, who are raising money for their senior celebrations. Their meals will be priced separately.

Tickets are available at the door. It is at The Renaissance Charter School, 35-59 81st Street (at the corner of 37th Avenue), in Jackson Heights, Queens. It is 2 blocks from the 82nd Street Station of the #7 Line. The Q32 bus from Manhattan stops in front of the door
