Fashion Photo of the Day 4/23/2014: Lake Bell

Lake Bell has so much going on this seemingly simple ensemble. She took the basics - black, white and a splash of color - and mixed and matched texture and patterns to create a chic, fun and flirty outfit that is perfect for spring. She started off with a great white top and as my Mom always says, you can never have too many white tops. She paired it with a black and white, embroidered floral skirt from Chloe Resort 2014 collection. The skirt is very feminine but feels modern with the geometric flower shapes.

Another modern element is the oversized white clutch. It does a great job of balancing her oversized red coat. The coat, for me, is what really makes the outfit. It is super feminine even though with its boxy cut because of the soft texture, seam details and retro feel. Bell finished off her whole look with very natural hair and makeup perfect for brunchtime. My only slight complaint is that I wish she had on a touch more lipgloss to just brighten her face a bit more. But I am being nit-picky. Bell looks gorgeous!
