The lineup for FOUNDING CHOREOGRAPHERS at Lincoln Center has been announced. It is as follows:


12:00-1:15 PM – FILM SCREENING: Jerome Robbins’ NY EXPORT: OPUS JAZZ
A special in theater screening of the 2010 film adaptation of Robbins' “ballet in sneakers” originally choreographed in 1958. Filmmakers Ellen Bar and Sean Suozzi, former and current NYCB soloists respectively, will introduce their film. Following the screening will be a 15-minute documentary recounting the history and enduring significance of NY Export: Opus Jazz.

1:40 PM – FIRST POSITION DISCUSSION: ALL ROBBINS PROGRAM INSIGHTS
Join NYCB docents on the theater’s Fourth Ring for an informal discussion on the matinee program including background and insights on the ballets and music.

6:00-7:00 PM –BALANCHINE & ROBBINS: AN INSIDE LOOK WITH Peter Martins AND KYRA NICHOLS
Featuring excerpts performed by NYCB dancers, NYCB Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins and former Principal Dancer Kyra Nichols will lead this onstage presentation highlighting the distinct aesthetics of these two master choreographers.
