'Extraordinary' Opens Vital Children's Theatre New Season

Vital Children's Theatre is pleased to announce Extraordinary, the first show in the 2007-2008 season.  The book and lyrics are by Dante Russo with music by David F.M. Vaughn. The production will be directed by Teresa K. Pond.

"After meeting his deaf cousin Hope, Lester and his imaginary friend Fred take off on an adventure through the living room couch to search for her hearing! Tag along as they discover that your differences are what make you Extraordinary," declare press notes.

Featured in the cast are Harrison M. Ford, Michael Maricondi, Kristi McCarson, Heather Lynn Milner, Grace Sumner and Alan Houser. The design team includes sets by Elisha Schaefer, costumes by Hunter Kaczorowski and lighting design by Jason Teague.  The musical director is Jad Bernardo, the choreographer is Derek Roland.

Extraordinary runs September 15 through October 21. School/Group Performances and Workshops at a school or at Vital Theatre run September 2007 - June 2008. There will be an additional 1PM show on Columbus Day, Monday, October 8, followed by a Learn To Sign workshop at 2PM. There will also be workshops on Saturday, September 22 and Saturday, September 29 at 2PM. Workshop admission is $20 and places are limited to 25. Workshops are recommended for children ages 6 and up, parents are welcome to watch or participate. All tickets are $18.00; the show is appropriate for children ages 4 to 12.
