Exhibition of the Works of Acclaimed Chinese Artists is Presented at United Cultural Museum in Suqian, China

SUQIAN, China, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ Artists and businessmen from across China recently assembled in thecity of Suqian in northern Jiangsu province to witness a gala cultural event on the banks of Luoma Lake. The event, entitled "Beautiful Suqian", an invitation-only exhibition of works by acclaimed Chinese artists and which took place at Huaxia United Cultural Museum in the city's Yellow River Park, was co-sponsored by the People's Government of Suqian, China International Culture Art Center, the Cultural Industry Chapter of the China Electronic Commerce Association, Asian United Culture and Art Center, Huaxia United Cultural Museum and co-organized by the People's Government of Suqian District, the Suqian Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television, Press and Publication and Suqian Huaxia United Cultural Museum. Suqian mayor Wan Tianqi was in attendance and inscribed the words "Beautiful Suqian" for the event, which has on exhibit 130 masterpieces created by 13 renowned Chinese artists, among them, general secretary of the Chinese Artists Association Xu Li, Xie Zhigao, Zhao Lifan, Xiao Yutian, Hu Yongkai, Gong Wenzhen, Wang Yuliang, Zhang Guihui, Chen Liangmin, Man Weiqi, Fan Yang, Kong Weike and Ma Haifang. The exhibition is expected to spawn a major revival of artistic and cultural events across the greater Suqian area, something that had been long-awaited by the area's culture and art aficionados.

A wide array of masterpieces created by the distinguished artists were on display at the by invitation only event, one of the city's larger scale cultural undertakings in recent years. Visitors were visibly moved as they walked among and spent time taking in the works of the famous artists. The event, which asked the artists to create works that are a realistic portrait of life in Suqian, gave them an opportunity to understand the city's deep and long history, and then, through pen and ink, they were able to deliver their impressions of Suqian to the world. Suqian continues to live up to its byline: "Glory of Western Chu,City of Spirits and Flowers and an Ecological Paradise with Clean Rivers and Lakes" while, through these works of art, visitors came away with an realistic impression of the active, upbeat and intellectually stimulating lifestyle of the city's residents.

Founder of Huaxia United Cultural Museum Xu Shouzhen said that, with the generous support of the People's Government of Suqian and Sucheng District Government, the Asian United Culture and Art Center and the Suqian Huaxia United Cultural Museum officially opened at the twin towers in Sucheng District's Yinxiang Yellow River Park, inaugurating the global promotion of Suqian's culture and art market and paving the way for high profile and high level art exhibitions to be held at the venue. The aim of the art exhibition is to transform Suqian in to an important cultural destination among international artists and drive the development of an artistic and creative ecosystem across the area.

Suqian Huaxia United Cultural Museum has been deemed a national museum and provides a unified platform for cultural creativity and cultural assets. In compliance with the operational standards required of museums in China, the platform is designed to enhance the ability of Sucheng District, thecity of Suqian and even the whole of China to develop and manage Chinese artistic and cultural assets, opening the door for more artists and their artworks, as well as for organizations that support art and that reflect the current state of the art world in China, to come to Suqian in this globalizing era. Abundant cultural resources at home and abroad will join hands in Suqian to further promote the prosperous development of Suqian's culture and art business, making it the most influential art exhibition venue in northern Jiangsu Province.
