Jim Caruso and TheaterMania.com will present Euan Morton in concert on Monday, May 15. The evening is part of The Spring Season at Birdland, a series of 7pm concerts featuring top Broadway performers and songwriters at the legendary club (315 West 44th Street, NYC).

Morton, the Tony-nominated star of Taboo will be singing reinterpreted Broadway standards and original songs from his brand new album, "NewClear." He will also be performing songs by his beloved group, The Carpenters.

In 2002, Morton's performance as Boy George in the West End production of the musical Taboo earned him nominations at the Whatsonstage Awards and at the Laurence Olivier Awards. He also starred in the Broadway version of Taboo and won a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Debut Performer on Broadway. He was nominated for 5 more awards, including the Tony Award.

He debuted with his band at two-sold out shows at Joe's Pub in May 2004 in New York, and portrayed the title role in the New York Musical Theatre Festival production of the musical Caligula from September to October 2004. He has recently returned from Berkeley Repertory Theatre where he played the title role in the Czech opera Brundibár, which will soon be seen at the New Victory Theatre in New York. He has also performed in concert at Joe's Pub, The Zipper Theatre and Town Hall, among other venues. Morton, in conjunction with LyricPartners.com, has just released his debut solo album, "NewClear."
