This Thursday, July 17, 2008 the entire Fantasticks audience will be invited to join the cast and creators of the show for dinner and drinks at a party celebrating the return of the world's longest-running musical.  Entry to the party will be granted to anyone holding a ticket for Thursday's performance.

Audience members will be invited to mix and mingle with lyricist, book writer and director Tom Jones, celebrity guests, and the cast, which includes Dennis Parlato, Nick Spangler, Erica Piccininni, Tom Flagg, Gene Jones, Jordan Nichols, Evy Ortiz, Steve Routman, John Shuman, John Thomas Waite and Scott Willis

"We are so thrilled to celebrate the return of The Fantasticks to the Snapple Theater Center," said Mark Johannes, a producer of the revival.  "The Fantasticks is a show that speaks to all of us, so it's only fitting that our entire audience be included in this special moment."

The Fantasticks, with music by Harvey Schmidt, opened at Greenwich Village's Sullivan Street Playhouse in 1960 and went on to play a record-breaking 17,162 performances.  It has played in every corner of the world, from Afghanistan to Iran to Zimbabwe, and is the only Off-Broadway show to have won a Tony Award (for Excellence in the Theater).
A limited number of tickets for Thursday's performance, priced $51-$76, are available by calling the box office at (212) 921-7862 or Ticketmaster.com at (212) 307-4100.  Tickets may also be purchased in person at The Snapple Theater Center box office, located at 210 West 50th Street (at Broadway).
