According to MJSBigblog, Broadway star Rachel Potter has made it to the Top 16 of the upcoming season of FOX's THE X FACTOR. The talented actress, who starred as Peron's mistress in the 2012 revival of Evita, will be among the 'Overs' team, for those singers over the age of 25.

The Overs will be mentored by new X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, former member of Destiny's Child. According to the report, Potter was a "massive standout' during the preliminary audition rounds, particularly for her country version of Beyonce's "Irreplaceable."

Let's root on the Broadway vet as we did for last season's Carly Rose Sonenclar who made it all the way to the final two contestants!

Rachel Potter starred in the first Broadway revival of Andrew Llyod Webber's Evita in 2012 in the role of Juan Peron's mistress. She wowed audiences with her stirring rendition of the ballad "Another Suitcase in Another Hall." The actress made her Broadway debut as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, with music by Andrew Lippa.

Her other theater credits include Glinda in the national tour of Wicked. She was also a contestant on the MTV reality series 'Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods.'

In May 2012 Potter appeared on CBS Morning News to sing her original song "Hold on to Me." Check out the appearance below!
