EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- Siren
Tell us a bit about Siren.
Siren is a song-filled-comedy-play about a Siren (off of the Odyssey not ambulances). It's a fun, dark, slightly mad show about being desired and being heard. It stars Rosa Robson and Nicholas Masters who are great and nice. It's directed by Thomas Martin who is an absolute brain.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is my favourite thing about being a person who makes things in the UK. I love it. This year I'm not doing a stand-up show and just to be involved with a show that's on feels so exciting.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
Hopefully people will feel like they are getting good bang for their buck. There's songs, it's funny, it's dark, it's moving, and I think it's not something people will have quite seen before.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
People who want to see a show. Come and be entertained! People who don't think silly and serious are mutually exclusive. People who love a good number.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Too many to list, but off the top of my head: Colin Hoult, John Kearns, Joseph Morpurgo, Christopher Bliss, Adam Hess, Fin Taylor, Phoebe Walsh.
