Tell us a bit about Brink.
Brink is the result of a year's work on my stand-up. It looks at growing up, nostalgia, politics, and that nasty bibbly bit at the bottom of the banana that everyone avoids with terror. There is some satire but also two jokes about bums. I've also got some music for the nostalgia bits, to give it some texture, so there's the added incentive of hearing David Gray's 'Babylon' for an audience. It's a solid gold banger, and I hope the show will be as well.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Because I am sure massive recognition and lucrative financial reward await me this time. No not really. Because everyone else is I suppose. Also performing every night should really help me learn, and I'll get to see lots of other shows as well. Plus I think people will hopefully like the show.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
Well I haven't seen the other shows yet so I don't want to assume anything. I can promise that I've worked very hard on 'Brink' and practised loads and that the bits I have tried have made people laugh. I don't know if any other shows fully dissect the political implications of Deliveroo. I can assure you that mine does, so you can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone. I really mean that. A lot of it is about generational differences, so I'd love to have an audience of a mix of ages. I suppose there are quite a few millenial gags, and some political stuff, but I think they can be enjoyed from different angles. No hecklers though. I'm a gentle soul.

What's next for you after the festival?

I will gently nurse my overdraft and hopefully do the show around London a bit.
