EDINBURGH 2017: BWW Q&A- A Snowball's Chance In Hell Image

Tell us a bit about A Snowball's Chance In Hell.
We are all familiar with, -and can relate to the fear of being a failure and exposed as incompetent - but our two main characters defy that feeling and digs themselves deep into the great failure to express the truth on our everyday life.
Based on a physical universe inspired by the classic silent films and great comical figures as Charlie Chaplin, Joe Jackson Jr and Buster Keaton the show explore the humour in tragedy. It ends up as a heartfelt combination of contemporary dance, silent film and slapstick-physical theatre with subtile ironi on our everyday life, simple human conflicts and charmingly Danish humour.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?

We had great success participating in the festival last year with our performance M.I.S All Night Long receiving great reviews, including a 5 star review from The Herald - and we had several enquiries from international buyers afterwards leading to international touring. So, we decided to repeat the success this year - hopefully. To us the festival is a great opportunity to display our shows to an international audience as well as meeting and networking with a lot of interesting people and colleagues from around the world.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?

We have our very own - and very charming - Danish humour, that you will not find elsewhere!
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Everyone, of course. However we have often been acclaimed for having an unpretentious style that seems to appeal to a very broad audience - including a not insignificant amount of male audiences. We would therefore recommend all those scottish males to come see our show, even though they never seen physical theatre or contemporary dance before. We promise to lure them into it.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
We're looking forward to experience lots of amazing performing arts at the festival. Particularly we are hoping to catch Folk by National Dance Company Wales, #JeSuis by Aakash Odedra, All Genius All Idiot by Svalbard Company and Un Poyo Rojo - just to name a few.
Timings and ticket information for A Snowball's Chance In Hell are available on the edfringe website.
