Don Barnhart to Headline Brad Garrett Comedy Club at The MGM Grand

The Brad Garrett Comedy Club at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will present award winning comedian Don Barnhart.

Barnhart is currently home in Las Vegas shooting a new feature film and will take time off in between his scenes to headline Brad Garrett's Comedy Club at The MGM Grand 25-28 before heading out on an around the world tour to entertain the troops serving in the Armed Forces.

Don Barnhart was recently named "Best Bet" by the Las Vegas Review/Journal and he is in preproduction on a second feature film that he wrote and will star in called, Freeloader that is set to shoot in and around Las Vegas later this year.

Freeloader is the story of a returning Vet that ends up homeless on the streets of Vegas and becomes the Robin Hood of the disenfranchised. "I have to get in shape for the film", said Barnhart in a recent interview. He continued, "And I mean military shape. My wife is thrilled that I may actually have a six pac on my belly and not in the fridge."

Barnhart has been training with Professional MMA fighter Shawn Fitzsimmons who recently joined Barnhart's wife's Linda Vu's Self Defense Team overseas for the troops.

"My wife, Linda has been the biggest supporter of my shows and wanted to do something special for the troops and when the opportunity came up, she produced a women's self defense tour and went throughout Europe working with the women in the military", added Barnhart.

Barnhart's stand up is often compared to a young George Carlin, as he combines well-written, topical material and delivers it with a fast paced, high energy and animated improvisational flair that keeps audiences of all ages howling with laughter and coming back for more.

Don is one of the busiest comedians working today. He is an accomplished actor, writer and director with numerous television and film credits and is also a favorite headliner at the top comedy clubs across the country.

Barnhart stars in the comedy documentary Finding The Funny with Brad Garrett and Louie Anderson and has just published a new book on stand up called, Comedy 101. He is also a contributing author on, I Killed: True Stories of The Road by America's Top Comics. In his free time, Don teaches stand up at his studio in Vegas as well as over the Internet with Skype.
