In this new musical black comedy, one man's casual obsession with the architecture and culture of coat checkrooms ensnares him in a struggle with employment agents, maitre'd's, lovesick podiatrists, low-budget contractors, and playboys. The singer/actors and musicians perform surrounded by projections of Katchor's drawings and animations. This is the third musical-theater collaboration between noted cartoonist Ben Katchor (Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer, and The Jew of New York) whose work appears in Metropolis magazine, The Forward and The New Yorker and composer/singer Mark Mulcahy, former frontman of Miracle Legion and composer for the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete & Pete performing with its T.V. band Polaris.
