The critically acclaimed dance company Evidence (founded by dancer/choreographer Ronald K. Brown) will celebrate the start of its next 20 years in the international dance community with its 2007 Winter Gala "Grace In Winter" on Monday, January 29th at New York's historic Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Broadway Hotel (145 West 44th Street).

Lowery Stokes Sims, the world renowned art expert, author, historian, former president of the Studio Museum in Harlem and now adjunct curator of the Museum's Permanent Collection, will be chairing the event.

There will be a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. in the halls of the landmark Hudson Theatre, followed by a formal dinner at 7:30 p.m. and the company's performance at 9:00 p.m., both in the theater proper.  The program will feature the company's most recent works, One Shot: First Glance and Truth Don Die, as well as Evidence's signature piece, Grace.

Tickets for this important fund raiser are available in Tables for Ten or Individuals and include the cocktail reception, dinner, dessert & champagne, and the Evidence Gala performance.  Table hosts also receive a specified number of tickets for Evidence, A Dance Company's January and February performances at the Joyce Theater in New York. The price ranges for these packages are as follows:

Benefactor        Table – $20,000 (with 10 Joyce tickets) Individual – $2,000

In addition, the company - which is entering the next 20 years of its innovative, award-winning history - will present a 14-city, 2007 winter tour.  This circuit will be highlighted by a week-long season at The Joyce Theater in New York from January 30th to February 4th, marking Evidence's 4th appearance at The Joyce, long considered one of the city's premier performance venues for dance.
