Patricia Conolly is set to appear in The Last Journey, a new play by Tricia Walsh-Smith, on Monday, January 22 at 7 p.m. at the Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut as part of their New Play Readings series.

Conolly will join cast members Peter Strauss, Laila Robins, Marin Ireland, Debargo Sanyal, and Molly Ward (replacing the previously announced Danielle Skraastad). The Last Journey will be directed by Carolyn Cantor and the presentation will be followed by an audience talkback session with the playwright in attendance.

Patricia Conolly's numerous Broadway credits include The Coast of Utopia, Judgment at Nuremberg, Waiting in the Wings, The Sound of Music, The Heiress, The Circle, A Small Family Business, among others.

"One moment Julian Lawton is attempting to salvage his marriage, the next he is forced to consider whether life support could jeopardize the soul's immortality. The Last Journey questions technology's role in the metaphysical. Will ghosts of the past cause Julian to glimpse the unknown and make the right decision?" according to press notes.

Playwright Tricia Walsh-Smith is the author of Bonkers, which premiered at the Man in the Moon Theatre in London and was followed by a national tour. Addictions, her trilogy of one-acts, will make its West Coast premiere on January 29 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles starring Denise Van Outen (currently hosting the hit NBC reality show "Grease: You're the One That I Want"). The presentation of Addictions will be a benefit for the Actors' Fund Chemical Dependency Services program.

Tickets for The Last Journey are $10 and are available by calling 203-227-4177 or toll-free 888-927-7529. www.westportplayhouse.org
