Comedian Natasha Leggero Lands Comedy Central Pilot
According to Deadline, Comedy Central has ordered a scripted pilot starring the Chelsea Lately and @midnight panelist comedian, Natasha Leggero, to be headlined by her.
The pilot is called Another Period, from Ben Stiller's Red Hour, and will be directed by Jeremy Konner. Another Period is described as a Victorian-era reality show spoof and will co-star Garfunkel and Oates' Riki Lindhome. The show follows two heiresses who have "nothing to offer the world, but who have so much money that it doesn't matter." Leggero and Lindhome star as the oldest Bellacourt sisters, Lillian and Beatrice, "who care only about how they look, what parties they are invited to and becoming famous, which is a lot harder in 1902."
The one-hour standup special will shoot in April at the Wilbur in Boston.
