Joseph Collins will replace Ed Vassallo in the NYC premiere of the Jeff Daniels romantic comedy Apartment 3A, directed by Valentina Fratti. The show will begin previews at the ArcLight Theater (152 West 71st Street, between Broadway and Columbus) on Friday, January 20 for a limited engagement through Saturday, February 11; the opening is set for Monday, January 23 at 7:00 PM.

"Annie Wilson is having a bad day. After she catches her boyfriend in an acrobatic act of infidelity, she then has a televised melt-down during her job running telethons on the local PBS station. With her world turned upside down, and her faith in mankind shaken, she moves into a shabby apartment. But beyond the peeling paint and the lousy view, Apartment 3A may be the most magical move Annie has ever made. A sparkling romantic comedy by critically acclaimed actor Jeff Daniels (Good Night, and Good Luck, The Squid and the Whale), Apartment 3A is a treasure trove of quiet and humorous revelations as Annie confronts her fears and opens her heart to an unexpected suitor," according to press notes for the show.

Collins has appeared on Broadway in The Glass Menagerie with Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Christian Slater, and understudied The Lonesome West. Off-Broadway credits include Bug (Barrow St. Theatre), The Antigone Project (Women's Project), Gross Indecency—The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde (Tectonic), Venice Preserv'd (Pearl), Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine (MTC u/s), as well as in many regional productions. Television and film credits include Strangers (a feature written and directed by Greg Levins), "Law & Order," "12 Bourbon Street," "All My Children," and "As the World Turns."

Also featured in the cast are
Amy Landecker, Jonathan Cooke, J Austin Eyer, and Arian Moyaed.  Apartment 3A is produced by Lisa Dozier, Traci Klainer and M2 Productions.
