'Cirque Dreams Illumination' Gets Ready to Dazzle with National Tour

'Cirque Dreams Illumination', a theatrical adventure featuring an international cast of athletes, including contortionists, aerialists and trapeze artists, has launched a national tour in Durham, North Carolina. The run is expected to play 72 cities in the U.S., and last until May 2010.

The magical jungle-like setting of 'Cirque Dreams Illumination' is the creation of Cirque Productions' designer and director Neil Goldberg. Goldberg's previous production, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy played on Broadway in 2008. Goldberg is also the creator behind other Cirque Productions extravaganzas such as 'Cirque Dreams Hoidaze' and 'Cirque Dreams Pandemonia'.

Cirque Productions was founded in 1993. It is the first American company combining the European cirque-style of performance artistry with American circus arts and Broadway theatrics. Since its inception, the Production Company has created and opened over 12 new original shows performing in theatres, casinos and tours around the world.
