Acrobats, aerialists, and break dancers; oh my! An exciting evening of artistry, expression, courage and athleticism await you as some of America's most exciting contemporary circus companies showcase highlights of their best work.

Founded in 2007 by Michael Lanphear and Francois Gravel, AcroArts Productions is a full-scale live entertainment company that has performed in over 25 countries around the world. Frequently Asked Questions are circus friends, classmates, and coworkers who share the dream of creating a new American circus company. This summer marks their inaugural tour and debut production "Now You Know." Hybrid Movement Company, based in NYC, creates unique, inspiring circus arts performance productions that are culturally relevant to today's diverse audiences. Since 1995 the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus has produced numerous vaudeville, circus, wild west show, and sideshows around the world. Circus Now is a new national organization dedicated to promoting and progressing contemporary circus in America.

This performance is part of SummerStage Kids, New York City's unique, interactive family festival presenting more than 100 free performing arts events at 34 locations citywide. This free festival exposes New York City youth to the international world of arts and culture through a vast and diverse collection of engaging entertainment unparalleled by any other festival of its kind in NYC. The series is made possible through the support of Disney.

For the first time ever, SummerStage Kids will have a special season long focus on the magical world of contemporary circus. Families will get the chance to see the best circus companies from around the globe make their mark in New York City as a part of the "International Contemporary Circus Festival." With shows all season long during the day and three consecutive evenings in Harlem's Marcus Garvey Park, this mini-festival will stun audiences with jaw-dropping acts. With acrobats from Finland to stilt walkers from Columbia and aerialists from New York City, come visit SummerStage Kids to explore the best in modern circus theatrics and experience the circus like you have never seen it before.
