Children's Theatre of Charlotte will hold open auditions for "Scrooge!" on Tuesday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 6, from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm. The musical adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," "Scrooge!" features all of the wonderful characters and spirits from Charles Dickens' classic tale. Professional roles are available for adult actors of varying ages who can sing and dance. Roles are also available for young actors grades 5 and up, offering the unique opportunity to perform in a professional setting with professional actors.

Auditions will take place at ImaginOn, 300 East Seventh Street. Interested candidates should prepare 16 bars of a song and bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Candidates should also wear clothing that is easy to move in. Auditions may consist of a cold reading from the script.

Rehearsals begin October 26 taking place in the evenings from 6:00-9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday. Performances will be held on weekends from December 3-23, with weekday performances December 2, 8, 9, 14 and 15.

"Scrooge!" will be directed by Craig Kolkebeck, with choreography by Ron Chisholm and musical direction by Drina Keen.
