SPARE SOME CHANGE: NYC ARTISTS FOR Barack Obama will be held on the campus of New York University on Monday, August 11th at 8 p.m. In keeping with the inclusionary spirit of Senator Obama's revolutionary campaign, artists from all walks of life will take part in the call for change – from subway musicians and soap opera stars to Broadway luminaries.  Currently scheduled:

-An original song from Oscar-nominee and Grammy Award-winning composer Henry Krieger and Tony-nominated lyricist Bill Russell, sung by Tony Award-winner Lillias White,
-Appearances from One Life to Live stars Jason Tam (also of Broadway's A Chorus Line), BethAnn Bonner, and January LaVoy,
-Songs from Andrew Lippa, Sarah Schlesinger & Grammy Award-winner Mike Reid, Kirsten Guenther & Joy Sun,
-Performances from Tony-Award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger & Maddy Wyatt, Broadway's Glory Days, the cast of the current Public Theater production of HAIR, theater personality Seth Rudetsky, Mamma Mia star Carrie Manolakos, Grease's Lindsay Mendez, Joe Iconis with Jason Tam, Nick Blaemire, Jason Williams, & Lance Rubin, and Company's Teri Ralston,
-Magician Denis Tsvang, hip hop artists Jeffrey Vann & Kevin "Skyrocket" Williams, modern dance artist Philip Montana, tap dancer Garrett Minniti, singer Shaina Taub, and more!

From the producers: "This is such an important time for all of us in this country.  As many already know, Barack will not accept public funding from lobbyists or political action committees, but instead relies solely on a broad base of individual donors – such as ourselves – to ensure that his campaign answers to no one but the people.  Please join us for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so we can make history."

Ryan Mekenian is producing and directing the event.  Gena Oppenheim is Co-Producer, Sally Sibson is Production Manager, and Music Direction is by J. Oconer Navarro (The Adding Machine) & Mark Evans.

Tickets are priced at $30 and $60 and may be reserved by e-mailing sparesomechangenyc@gmail.com.  Performances will be held at the Fifth Floor Theater at New York University located at 111 Second Avenuue (between 6th and 7th Streets) in the East Village.  All proceeds will be donated to Senator Obama's campaign.
