Cast Set For JOB at Adirondack Theatre Festival
Laura Menzie and Paul DeBoy star in Max Wolf Friedlich's thriller at the Charles R. Wood Theater.
Adirondack Theatre Festival has announced casting for its upcoming production of JOB by Max Wolf Friedlich, a riveting and suspenseful psychological thriller that captivated audiences during its recent Broadway run. Directed by Martha Banta, the production will star Laura Menzie as Jane and Paul DeBoy as Loyd.
JOB will run June 17–28, 2026, at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls, New York, as part of ATF’s 32nd season.
The play begins as what should be a routine job evaluation before spiraling into something far more dangerous. As two strangers face off behind closed doors, power shifts, truths blur, and every word carries consequences in this engrossing (and often funny) cliff-hanger.
Laura Menzie is a New York-based actor known for her dynamic stage work in both new plays and contemporary classics. Her theater credits include productions with regional theaters across the country, where she has been praised for performances marked by emotional intelligence, wit, and intensity.
Paul DeBoy is an acclaimed stage and screen actor whose extensive theater career includes Broadway, Off-Broadway, and major regional productions nationwide. He is widely recognized for his versatility and commanding presence in both dramatic and comedic roles.
The production is directed by Martha Banta, who returned to ATF as Artistic Director in 2025 after previously serving as the Festival’s founding Artistic Director for its first 13 seasons. Her credits include years of directing new work in New York and regionally, as well as Broadway credits as associate director of RENT and MAMMA MIA! and she has worked extensively in both commercial and nonprofit theater across the country.
“JOB is one of the most gripping and provocative new plays I’ve seen in years,” said Banta. “It grabs you immediately and never lets go. Laura Menzie and Paul DeBoy are going to bring extraordinary depth, intelligence, and unpredictability to these roles, and I have worked with both actors in the past and couldn’t be more grateful to work with them on JOB. I can’t wait for audiences to experience this play live.”
Performances will take place at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located in downtown Glens Falls, NY.
