Carnegie Hall Expands Kids Web Portal With New Rhythm Explorer Game And Interactive Content
Free digital platform offers games, quizzes, and music learning tools for children ages 5–12.
Carnegie Hall has announced new additions to its Carnegie Hall Kids platform, a free interactive website designed for children ages 5–12. The digital resource features games, quizzes, videos, and interactive tools aimed at building musical knowledge and encouraging creative exploration.
A newly released game, Rhythm Explorer, invites children to develop rhythm skills while exploring musical traditions from around the world. Created in collaboration with FableVision, the web-based experience includes multiple song options and introduces players to instruments and cultural contexts through gameplay.
Originally launched in 2023, Carnegie Hall Kids is part of the Hall’s Weill Music Institute, which develops education and community programs reaching hundreds of thousands of participants globally. The platform is regularly updated with new content and remains free to access worldwide.
In addition to Rhythm Explorer, the site features nearly 40 quizzes covering musical concepts and traditions, as well as games such as The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, based on Benjamin Britten’s work, and Tune Crafter, a narrative-based experience set in New York City.
Interactive maps and video content are also available, including resources from Carnegie Hall’s Musical Explorers program and a series encouraging children to sing and engage with music across genres.
The Carnegie Hall Kids platform continues to expand as part of the institution’s broader mission to make music education accessible to families and young audiences around the world.
