British Actress Wendy Richards Passes Away At Age 65

Actress Wendy Richards has passed away at the age of 65. She had been suffering from breast cancer.
Richards is best known for playing Pauline Fowler in the soap EastEnders as well as appearing in Are You Being Served?
Born in 1943, Richards was educated at Italia Conti Academy stage school in London. She first became known while holding a role as a regular in the soap opera The Newcomers. She was awarded a British Soap opera Award for Lifetime Achievement for her role in EastEnders.
Richards was diagnosed with breast cancer in the mid 1990s and then again in 2002. After being given a clean bill of health the cancer returned in 2008.
