SPAMALOT returns to Boston for the first time in nearly two decades, taking over the Boch Center Wang Theatre October 6–11, 2026, bringing its Tony Award-winning comedy to Boston audiences. Lovingly ripped from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the musical features a book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, delivering inventive staging, design, and exceptional performances, reaffirming the enduring appeal of Monty Python's distinctly British wit and comedic brilliance. Fittingly, today's announcement coincides with the anniversary of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, celebrating the enduring legacy of one of comedy's most influential works.
SPAMALOT has everything that makes a great knight at the theatre: from flying cows to killer rabbits, British royalty to French taunters, dancing girls, rubbery shrubbery, and of course, the Lady of the Lake. SPAMALOT features well-known songs including “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” “The Song That Goes Like This,” “Find Your Grail” and more that have become beloved classics in the musical theater canon.
Returning to Boston by popular demand, BEETLEJUICE will haunt the Boch Center Wang Theatre February 9–21, 2027. Based on Tim Burton's beloved film this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.
The tour is directed by Catie Davis and choreographed by Michael Fatica. BEETLEJUICE was originally directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!) with a score by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect (King Kong); a book by Tony Award nominee Scott Brown(“Castle Rock”) and Tony and Emmy Award nominee Anthony King (“Broad City”); music supervision, orchestrations and incidental music by Kris Kukul (Joan of Arc: Into the Fire); and original choreography by Connor Gallagher (The Robber Bridegroom).
Together, SPAMALOT and BEETLEJUICE highlight the Boch Center's continued commitment to presenting world-class Broadway programming that blends classic comedy, contemporary storytelling, and visually stunning theatrical experiences.
