Blouin Artinfo Corp announced on Friday the promotion of two of its employees into major leadership roles in the company.

Rachel Corbett, formerly the Executive Editor of Blouin Modern Painters, was named Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, while Spencer Sharp, formerly the Publisher of Modern Painters, was named Group Publisher, a new role that consolidates the business leadership of all the company's print products, including Blouin Art+Auction (where he will replace David Gursky, the departing Publisher of that magazine and President, Global Development of the company).

Before coming to Modern Painters, Rachel was New York correspondent for The Art Newspaper. She has also worked as an editor at Artnet Magazine and a staff writer at BlouinArtinfo.com. Her freelance writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the BBC, and New York magazine. Her first book, You Must Change Your Life: The Story of Rainer Maria Rilke and Auguste Rodin, was published by WW Norton in 2016.

Spencer joined Blouin Artinfo Corp in July 2015 after six successful years overseeing The New York Observer's print and digital Arts & Culture category. Initially hired as Publisher of Blouin Monthlies, the company's international monthly newspapers pegged to art fairs and other major events, he also took on Gallery Guide and Modern Painters in the summer of 2016
