Bets Malone Stars in San Diego Musical Theatre's NEXT TO NORMAL, Beginning Tonight
San Diego Musical Theatre presents the Pulitzer Prize winning NEXT TO NORMAL, (press opening this Saturday, September 27) at the North Park Theatre. Preview is tonight, September 26, 2014.
NEXT TO NORMAL tells the story of a mother, Diana Goodman, who struggles with bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family. This contemporary musical is an emotional power- house that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. With provocative lyrics and a thrilling score, this musical shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact.
The cast features Bets Malone* (Diana Goodman), Robert J. Townsend* (Dan Goodman), Eddie Egan* (Gabriel "Gabe" Goodman), Lindsay Joan (Natalie Goodman), Eric Parker (Henry), and Geno Carr* (Dr. Madden). *Member of Actors Equity
Single tickets for SDMT's production of NEXT TO NORMAL are $26.00, $36.00, $46.00 and $56.00. Children 16 years and under receive a $10 discount. Seniors 65 years and older receive a $5.00 dis- count. Equity and Actor's Alliance may purchase up to 2 tickets at half price. Groups of 10 or more receive a 25% discount.
