Beechman to Present Evening of Short Musicals in April

The Laurie Beechman Theatre has announced three special performances in April, featuring premiere performances of three brand new short musicals. On Fridays, April 6, 13 & 20 at 7pm, three new pieces by students of NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program will debut upon the theatre's stage. All three brief musicals will be presented at each performance.

The musicals are as follows:

Playtime
by Erato Kremmyda and Sean Keogh

Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington
by Karlan Judd and Robin Share
featuring Brittany Cornelius, Randy Blair, Sam Pinkleton, Michelle Hernandez and Sonya Cooke

Momento Mori
by Rob Broadhurst and Maggie Coleman
featuring Lisa Asher, Miles Phillips, Courter Simmons and Eddie Varley
Directed by Phil Geoffrey Bond and Ryan Mekenian
Musical Direction by Ray Fellman & Sam Willmott

"An Evening of Short Musicals" is an opportunity for the public to see exciting work from talented new composers, soon to make their professional marks on the New York theatre community.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located at 407 West 42nd St., within The West Bank Café. There is a $12 cover charge, as well as a $15 food/beverage minimum. For reservations, please call 212 695 6909 between the hours of 12pm and 6pm.
